“There is no social-change fairy.
There is only change made by the hands of individuals.”
– Winona LaDuke
The Mining Action Group can’t do it without you! Our supporters give 1,000% – volunteering time and expertise, guiding hikes, performing music, contributing money and food, taking photographs, speaking out at public hearings, designing posters, writing letters to the editor, and participating in countless other ways! Ask your family and neighbors to pitch in, and get your friends involved. Working together, we can defend the clean water and wild places of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula from the dangers of sulfide mining.
The Mining Action Group (MAG) – formerly known as Save the Wild U.P. – is proud to be a 100% volunteer grassroots effort, and part of the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition (UPEC). Pitch in whatever you can to support the Mining Action Group’s work by donating securely online via PayPal or by credit card, or better yet, become a member of the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition (membership form on UPEC website).
Whatever your time and talents, we look forward to working with you. Call (906) 662-9987 to volunteer, or email to learn more.
